HAVE A COKE AND A…

If life could imitate art, then this packaging would be the Holy Grail: Coca-Cola is once again partnering with the global “007” franchise, this time on the highly anticipated fall release, “Skyfall,” starring Daniel Craig.  Although only the can design of the “gun barrel” is shown here, the limited-edition look will be present on all formats of the brand, including PET and aluminum bottles. In addition, fans can look forward to high-impact TV and cinema spots and a full marketing campaign leading up to the launch of the product, prior to the film’s October 26 theater release date. We think it’s great that Coke chose the Zero product this time around (regular Coke was associated with 2008’s “Quantum of Solace”)…it’s quite fun to picture a martini-swilling Bond indulging in a diet soda every now and then.  Maybe it’s how he keeps his “secret agent, man-of-the-world-ish” figure. Coke execs can only hope male movie-goers consider this, as they keep one squinty eye on the sales figures for any signs of upward creep in this demographic.
